Sales, Marketing and Events Manager

Zip Zap Circus is an innovative Academy of Circus Arts, inspiring and empowering young people. At Zip Zap we strive to provide children (including youth-at-risk) with the resources to develop skills through the medium of Circus Arts, which will develop them as young leaders.

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help us meet our targets while keeping in line with Zip Zap’s values, ethics and goals. A competent Events Manager to organise and oversee events that will make an impact to a targeted audience ensuring a successful and cost-effective event. An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.


– Achieve growth and hit sales targets
– Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands Zip Zap and ensure its identity
– Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
– Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to management monthly and yearly
– Identify various markets while being fully aware of new products and competition status
– Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
– Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
– Coordinate all operations
– Lead promotional activities for the event
– Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.)
– Approve all aspects before the day of the event
– Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
– Analyse the event’s success and prepare reports


– BS/MS degree in business administration or in PR, marketing, hospitality management is preferred
– Successful previous experience as a sales representative or manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
– Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
– Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
– Proven ability to drive sales from plan to close
– Proven experience as event manager
– Skilled in project management
– Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
– Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office
– Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
– Excellent organizational skills
– A knack for problem-solving
– Customer-service orientation
– A team player with leadership skills
