Africa meets Zurich
Artists from the Zip Zap Circus will bring an African flavor to the Tennis Charity Night– a fund-raiser for the Roger Federer Foundation. The Zip Zap Circus was set up in Cape Town in 1992 and aims to inspire young people from various walks of life and create a new culture of peaceful coexistence in South Africa. The organization focuses on fostering team spirit and common values, as well as promoting the self-confidence and talent of its students. Zip Zap programs are free of charge for all participants, enabling them to make their dreams come true in safe surroundings.

For over 13 years, the Roger Federer Foundation has been supporting education programs for children affected by poverty in Africa and in Switzerland. The Foundation works solely with local organizations in long-term partnerships. It takes effective action and follows the principle that those in need are capable of solving their own problems. Until today, 16 programs to benefit more than 650‘000 children were implemented in Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Switzerland for a total of 6.3 million Swiss francs. The Roger Federer Foundation aims to reach one million children by 2018.
The partners and the media partners AZ Medien | tv & radio and the Blick Group will support the Roger Federer Foundation from 3 to10 April 2017 with a fundraising week. Online donations can already be made at the websitematch-for-africa.com. A donation hotline will also be set up as part of the fundraising week. Fantastic prizes will be raffled among all the donors.
