Zip Zap is seeking an advanced circus coach who specialises in aerial. The successful applicant will need to relocate to Cape Town, South Africa for a year minimum.


A full-time position that reports to the Artistic and Executive Director as well as the Youth Programme Coordinator. Salary commensurate with experience.

– Technical teaching to young adults in vocational training
– Choreographing acts to performing youth group
– Developing curriculum for the local instructors to implement
– Mentoring of young adult in professional training

– 5 years of experience in Circus teaching and performing
– Knowledge of all circus genres at basic level
– High skill level in teaching at least 2 circus aerial genres

– Great organizational skills
– Tremendous communication skills in person and electronic
– Ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure
– Willingness to work a flexible schedule
– Be both independent and a team player
– Understanding that we are teaching more than just circus arts
– Demonstrate integrity and good ethics
– Common sense and a sense of humor
– Problem solving
