Zip Zap Circus School was founded in Cape Town in 1992, to inspire young people and help build a new culture of peaceful coexistence in South Africa. Working with a diverse community of children from all backgrounds, Zip Zap helps kids to ‘dare to dream’ and learn to make those dreams a reality. Zip Zap’s programs are all free to participants, with financial and material support coming from individuals, organisation, corporations and foundations.

Zip Zap seeks to appoint a Driver / Maintenance to be based in Zip Zap Academy in Salt River, Cape Town.

Remuneration:   R5’500 monthly gross on Fixed term contract


Job Requirements:

    • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
    • Must be honest, responsible, punctual and professional at all times;
    • Sound knowledge of the Western Cape area and ability to search, download, print and read road maps;
    • Excellent driving skills;
    • Good traffic judgement
    • Flexibility and good interpersonal skills;
    • Fluency in English, isiXhosa / Afrikaans is a plus;
    • Must be able to work overtime when required;


  • Job Qualifications and Experience:
    • A valid and current South African driver’s license for a minimum of 5 years plus Code 10.
    • PDP is required
    • A good driving record with experience in driving automatic and standard vehicles;
    • A minimum of Grade 12, to ensure literacy is required;
    • Maintaining an accurate vehicle log.
    • Working with Office Manager and others and trip scheduling as needed.
    • Providing safe transportation to and from locations for staff and students.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Maintenance and repairs to buildings where necessary
    • Maintenance of gardens
    • Reports accidents and hazards as possible risk implication
    • Clear Police Clearance certificate not older than 3 months
